4-H News - Terre NoirePublished Wednesday, October 18, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesOctober is known as 4-H promotion month and the Terre Noire 4-H Club has been doing its share. What better way to promote 4-H than through community service projects? The club started off the month by cleaning the flower beds at Gurdon's Cabe Public Library. The 4-H members then moved over to the yard at Hoo-Hoo, where they gave it a good cleaning and planted pansies out front. At their monthly club meeting they prepared 31 candy-filled Halloween cups to be distributed by the senior adult center in their meals on wheels program. The following members were a big help in these projects: Robyn LeMay, Lauren Coston, Jessie Livingston, Natalie Tarpley, Josh Jordon, Derrick Puckett, Kellie Cooper, Callie King, Brandon Bradshaw, Rex Potter, Carolane Duke and Chrissy Davies. Adult sponsors for these projects were David Coston, Judy LeMay and club leader Kathryn Burchfield. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
