Redland NewsBY HAZEL MEEKSPublished Wednesday, October 11, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune First of all, my electric blanket is really working over time. My next item is something for each family to think seriously about. Time is fast running out to sign up for Prescott Rural Water system. Early sign-up deadline is just a week and a half away and we are 350 short of the goal. Our community is really being hit hard with serious illness. Remember Mary Cox, Willie Hulan, Bill Ridling Sr., Willie Hooks, Allene Taylor and myself. LaNell Nash spent last week with her daughters, Brenda Wilbanks and Cynthia Almond of Murfreesboro. Erica Burdue, a student at Central Baptist College in Conway, visited her parents and brothers, John, Gina and Ryan Burdue. Her guests were Jeremy Young and Amy Smith. Russ Carlton and his mother, Maralyn entertained for the birthday friends at Hillcrest Rehab and also visited Neil and me on Wednesday. It is so good to have Kyle Pennington home from the hospital. Frances Bidwell and her daughter, Deanie Luck from Marshall, Texas, visited in our community one day last week. Billie Gass from Chickasha, Okla., has been here taking care of her mother, Allene Taylor, who is having some heart problems. Paul and Audrey Curtis from Emerson spent Sunday with his sister and brother-in-law, Julene and Willie Hulan. Bill Ridling Jr. and wife Donna hosted a family get together at their new home Saturday night. Casey Hendricks from Little Rock spent the weekend with his parents, Kay and Junior Hendricks. Some people go about doing good, some just go about. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
