I bet that Redland scribe has fired up her electric blanket again. Most

folks I have talked to are enjoying these cooler temperatures.

Oleta Nelson came home from the hospital last Tuesday, but she is still feeling weak. We hope she soon feels better.

There was a bad wreck at the old wood yard site on Hwy. 24 last week

involving some folks from Chidester. The driver went to sleep and ran off the road. Some injuries were reported.

Bernell Johnson has a new granddaughter, born Sept. 18th. Morgan Elizabeth Lindsey is the name. Parents are Donna and John Lindsey of Camden.

Bill and Kay Sellers joined the crowd who hit the woods last weekend in search of some wild game.

Charles and Patricia Farr have returned safely from a trip to Tennessee.

I forgot to mention Britt and Kelley Carman's trip a few days ago to Corpus Christi, Texas, and a side trip into old Mexico. They reported a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Moore from Oklahoma City were visiting Millard and Elloene McBride last weekend.

And now to the archives. In December of 1909 Cole Younger, the noted outlaw and the last of the famous Younger Brothers, was giving a lecture at the opera house in Prescott. The title of his talk was What My Life Has Taught Me.' Admission was 25, 35 and 50 cents. The promoters offered $1,000 to a charity if someone could prove that this was not the real Cole Younger.
