Published Wednesday, May 19, 1999 in the Gurdon Times

A Tiger Cub Basketball Camp for boys going into the third through sixth grades will be held at the Roy and Christine Sturgis Physical Education Center on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University June 7-10 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

Ouachita Tiger head basketball coach Mike Reynolds and assistant Grant Pate are in charge of the camp that provides training in fundamentals of the game to include shooting, passing, dribbling and rebounding defense.

"We want the camp to be instructive in nature, while providing an atmosphere that is fun to the young players," Pate said.

Pate said the camp will offer team games, refreshments and fun competition aspects to include hot shot, free throw, obstacle course, and one-on-one.

Reynolds and Pate will be assisted in the camp by members of the OBU Tiger basketball team.

The cost is $40 per camper before June 4 and $45 after that date. The price includes all instruction, t-shirt and supplemental insurance.

For information on the camp, contact Reynolds at OBU, P.O. Box 3657, Arkadelphia, AR 71998-0001, or call (870) 245-5188.
