Golden Oldies

I am thankful for the cooler weather and the rain that we had. It has been so terribly hot this summer.

Last Wednesday and Thursday several of us took the 55 Alive class at the senior adult center.

We Cover Girls are quilting another quilt.

This coming week we will have a Coke walk Monday. Other activities include singing at the nursing home on Tuesday, music on Wednesday, blood sugar and pressure screenings on Thursday by National Park Medical, and a shopping trip on Friday.

The center will nominate officers and board members this month. We will take names from the floor in November and elect them in December. Our council meeting will be Oct. 17. There will be other activities during the month.

The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way Agency.
