Eugene 'Joe' LedbetterSHACKELFORD FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, October 4, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Ellis Eugene Joe' Ledbetter, 74, passed from this life on Friday, September 29, 2000, at his home in Prescott. Mr. Ledbetter was a member of Westside Church of Christ. He was a retired forklift driver with Potlatch and he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after serving from 1943 to 1946. Joe was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and May Ledbetter, five brothers, Darius, Dennis, Otis, Wallace and Dale Ledbetter as well as one sister, Mary Ledbetter. Survivors includes his wife, Ruby McKinnon Ledbetter of Prescott, two sons, tow daughters and one daughter-in-law; Charles and Ronda Ledbetter of Prescott, James Dale Ledbetter of Prescott, Patsy Ledbetter of Emmet, and Paula May Ledbetter of Prescott. Three grandchildren were the light of his life - Joseph, Lexie and Mallory Ledbetter and one special child, Megan Hughes. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 1, at 2 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott.
