I hope we are only gonna have a few days of this hot evenings. I was fixin' to get out our winter things, but it looks and feels like that project is on hold.

Micheal Shears and friend was down over the weekend visiting with Thomas and Ruby Fontaine. While they were here they both killed a deer. Ruby said she had told the family before they did. I guess we can nickname her rattle mouth.

Aaron Morton spent Friday night with his cousin Cody Jackson. Saturday they went to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission derby. He spent Saturday night with another cousin, Clancey Cleveland.

Tom and I went to Hot Springs Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday, which was Sunday, and our two-year anniversary was Monday. We had a nice time, just wasn't a very long stay. We came home Sunday.

Roy Fontaine and daughter from Florida, Tommy Fontaine from Texas and Lonnie Huntley from Little Rock visited with Thomas and Ruby Fontaine Sunday.

I hear that Julie Stockton's mother, Geraldine Greenwood, has been in the hospital at Texarkana. She was to come home Monday. Hope she is doing okay.

My sister-in-law, Donna Carter, was all excited Monday night. Her race horse has won again. Congratulations, Donna.

Sunday evening Tom and I took my parents, J.W. and Maxine Glass, a load of firewood. When we got there they had no electricity. They were cooking outside on the gas burners. Good thing it was cool and not one of those hot days.

Have a wonderful week.
