Virginia MaseyPublished Wednesday, May 19, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesVirginia Masey, 80, of Gurdon died Monday, May 10, 1999. Mrs. Masey was the widow of Lyman Masey. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as librarian at Gurdon Public Library for many years. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy, and a great grandson, Garrett. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Helen Masey of Hallsville, Texas; a daughter, Margie Renfro of Gurdon; her grandchildren, Greg and Carla Renfro, Brett and Cheryl Renfro, and Tod and Amy Masey, all of Gurdon, Shane and Amy Masey of Carrollton, Texas, and Brandi Masey and Lacey Masey of Hallsville; her great grandchildren, Regan Renfro, Bret Ashton Renfro, Tyler Renfro, Taylor Masey and Adam McKey. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 12, at Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Rose Hedge Cemetery under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
