Oak Grove Baptist Church had its annual choir and usher day Sunday, October 1. Oak Grove does not have a pastor. They are really carrying on without a shepherd. Rev. Gary Madison brought the morning message. His text was Is there an answer to God?' He is a real good speaker and young man. Rev. Alonzo Ray brought the evening sermon. They really do have a good choir. There were lots of young people. He is the pastor of Mt. Zena and New Zion Hill Baptist Church in Stephens. They really did raise a lot of money.

Mrs. Vera Purifoy and sister Clearice and husband Richard Henry went to Dallas, Texas, to visit their baby sister, Velma Lupo, and her husband, Rev. Lupo. They said they really did have a good time while they were there.

Margie Mixon Dansby is celebrating her fifth anniversary Saturday, October 7, at 6 p.m. at the Oak Grove Civic League building. All groups, soloists and choirs are needed. Please register on arrival. Sis. Dansby will be ministering in song.

The Civic League meets the first Tuesday in October.

Mrs. Girtie B. Blake is still in the rehab in Hope. She is very disturbed by being there. Send her a card and tell her we still love her.

Ira Harris is sick and needs our prayers. He means so much to the Oak Grove community. People ask about him all the time.

Dave Coleman and his wife have finally moved to Rosston from Rockford, Ill. He has a beautiful home in Rosston.

Ardell Johnson went to Gary, Ind., Saturday. His brother, Samuel Lee Evans, has sold his house and moved in his mother's house. James Johnson has retired from his job and he and his wife Margie are real good neighbors.

Lorice Tidwell Burse and her father has moved to St. Louis. We really do miss her. She was my beautician.

See you again next week.
