Clyde PenningtonPublished Wednesday, May 19, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesClyde Pennington, 83, of El Dorado, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at his residence. Mr. Pennington was born August 5, 1915, in Manchester, the son of the late Lee and Ada Lee Pennington. He was a retired school teacher of 41 years, teaching the last 21 years in the El Dorado High School system. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Pennington was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Pennington. Survivors include one son, Larry Pennington of El Dorado; one brother, Leroy Pennington of Manchester; and two sisters, Stella Huneycutt and Zelma Harris of Manchester. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Atchley Cemetery at Dalark under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
