Jim Kelly Gilmore, 77, of Benton died Sunday, October 1, 2000, in Little Rock.

Mr. Gilmore was born on November 13, 1922, in Saline County. He was a retired foreman for Owasso Furniture Co. and a member of the Wright's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Benton. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Sherill Buck' Gilmore, Hardy Bud' Gilmore, Herman Coon' Gilmore and George Todd' Gilmore; and two sisters, Reener Brumbelow and Ronnie Smart.

Survivors are his wife, Mary E. Gilmore of Benton; one son, Sherman Kelly Gilmore of Gurdon; one daughter, Mary Kathern Smith of Benton; one brother, Willie Gilmore of Benton; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct.3, at the Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Revs. Carl Wright, Daniel Dodson and Henry McCool officiating. Burial was by Ashby Funeral Home of Benton.
