Workshop Planned At Gurdon PrimaryPublished Wednesday, October 4, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesGurdon Primary School's Partners in Print,' parent/child workshop will begin October 10. Parents of kindergarten students attending GPS are invited to attend on October 10, 17, 23 and 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the GPS cafeteria. A light supper will be provided. Pam Runyan will facilitate four special workshops just for kindergarten parents and their children. The workshop is designed to show parents teaching strategies and how to use reading to teach their child important skills they must know to be successful in school. It also will provide make and take activities for the parents to use at home with their child. The workshop is sponsored by GPS Parent Involvement Program, Bonita Grayson, coordinator.
