Bodcaw NewsALINE CLAUSPublished Wednesday, September 27, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Still no rain, but the cooler weather is fine. Rosemary and Bob Mitchell of California, cousins of Marge and Ural Poindexter, visited them and attended church with them. They always enjoy visitors. Olen, Deb and Marguerite Dorman went to Mississippi to visit Olen's daughter, Shannon. Mary Poindexter had surgery on Friday to go on dialysis. With this surgery she can take treatment at home. Mary Ann went with Joe Bob Dorman to Texarkana to get treatments for his back. The youth of our church went to Texarkana on Saturday for a fun night out. The youth rally of area churches met at our church for their meeting on Sunday afternoon. There was a good turn out. Russ Carlton was elected pianist and Andrew Poindexter was elected assistant song director. Bro. Rodney Langston preached for us Sunday. I hope Bro. Tom will be back soon. Continue to pray for him. There was a beautiful sight when we came out of church rain was falling and it rained most of the evening. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
