Julius and Marian Haynie of Rosston are proud to announce the birth of their son, Marcus Javon, born July 17, 2000, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. L.J., his 14-year-old brother, welcomed him home.

Marcus weighed six pounds and 14 ounces and was 19> long.

Grandparents are Mattie Moss of Willisville and Frank and Helen Haynie of Rosston.

The Sweet Home Church, located on Highway 371 between Prescott and Blevins, will have a revival October 1-4. The speakers will be Bro. Lynn Heckman Sunday; Bro. Ricky Burke Monday; Bro. Neal Ridling Tuesday and Bro. Jim Henderson Wednesday.

Services begin each evening at 6:30. Everyone is invited.

Hope Quilters Guild will hold its monthly meeting Monday, October 2 in the Citizens National Bank conference room, Third and Elm Streets in Hope at 7 p.m. The program will be a silent auction. Visitors are welcome.

There will be a gospel singing Thursday, September 28, at Morris Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

Good News singers from Benton will provide the music. Everyone is invited and encouraged to bring a special.
