Prescott Natives Receive AwardsPublished Wednesday, May 19, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneKatie Gordon, Traci Hughes and Heath Miller were recently named as three of 13 students to receive an Outstanding Student Leader Award at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. The Outstanding Student Leader Award is given to students who have made a significant contribution to their organization and its membership. The student is credited with assisting the group with its programming in a consistently outstanding manner or improving the performance of the organization by consistently encouraging and developing loyalty and dedication among its members. Gordon, a senior accounting major, is a 1995 graduate of Prescott High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gordon of Prescott. Hughes is a senior business administration-finance major and a 1995 graduate of Prescott High School. She is the daughter of Michael and Teri Hughes of Prescott. Miller, a senior health, kinesiology and recreation major, is also a 1995 Prescott High School graduate. He is the son of Joe and Brenda Miller of Prescott.
