Emmet Youth Injured On ATV; Stolen Items Foundy By NCSOBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, September 20, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune A 15-year-old Emmet youth was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident Saturday. According to Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell, Nathan Smith was riding his ATV across a field when he hit a ditch, around 8 p.m.. The ATV flipped, striking him in the back. Smith was transported to Medical Park Hospital by the Nevada County Ambulance Service. ITEMS RECOVERED More items stolen from a Rosston home in May have been recovered. According to Otwell, the NCSO received information concerning weapons stolen from the home of Mary May in mid-May, were buried at a Rosston residence. After getting a search warrant, officers went to the site and started digging. Otwell said they found several weapons and went to the residence on the property. They were given consent to search the house and found other items possibly taken in the May theft. J.J. Dillard, 19, of Rosston, was arrested and charged with residential burglary and theft.
