Richard D. Plyler, 62, of Gurdon died Tuesday, September 12, 2000.

Mr. Plyler was a retired conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his mother, Annie Plyler of Gurdon; two brothers, Carl Plyler of Arkadelphia and Wendell Plyler of Bryant; two sisters, Shirley Barker of Gurdon and Carolyn Thomas of North Little Rock; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were held Thursday, September 14, in Horne Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
