Fire Destroys Home, Two VehiclesPHOTO BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, September 20, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune HOME DESTROYED Fire destroyed the home of Dennis and Pam Hopson Monday morning. According to reports from the Prescott Police Department, the family wasn't home at the time of the fire, and arson is not suspected. PPD criminal investigator Morris Irvin, the fire was most likely caused by a faulty space heater in the bathroom of the structure. Two fire trucks responded to the blaze, but firefighters were unable to save the home. The Hopsons have three children, Dennis, junior, 18, Trent, 13, and Taylor, 2.
