WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, September 13, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune The House-Cagle and Brown family reunion will be Sunday, September 17, at the VFW building in Prescott. There will be potluck lunch at the noon hour. Friends are invited and relatives are urged to attend. Everett and Mary Orren picked up Barbara Norris of West Monroe recently and visited Kirby and Rita Orren at Napoleanville, La. Rita is in nursing care. Denise and Ricky Stubbs and children, Darlene and Joe Mac Young, Bobby and Breanna, Elsie Elmore and Winderleen Jester, had dinner with Cathryn, Pete and Jimmy Joe Jester Labor Day. The Ursery-Ridgell family reunion was held Sunday the third of September. Approximately 42 attended, 23 from the Bud Ursery family; 16 from the Herbert Ridgell family and three from the Hase Ursery family. Richard Ursery wife's daughter and granddaughter were late getting there. The group will meet again next year Sunday of Labor Day weekend, same place, 401 Hale Avenue in the Prescott Housing Project building. Our son, Willie Hugh, and grandson-in-law, Eric Webb, of Searcy spent a couple of days and nights with us last week. Willie Hugh and Eric fished in Boughton Creek and had some fun. Annie Mae Hooks had surgery on her hip, but she is back in Health South Rehab. Remember her in your prayers. Sammy and Lauren Haynie of Little Rock spent Sunday with Lenora and Faye House. Margaret Gulley and Willie Hooks visited Syble Brown last week. Lawner West's son, Sonny, has moved him to Alabama to help take care of him. When you give your word, keep it.
