Li'l Britches Rodeo Opens Fair Saturday

The Li'l Britches rodeo will be held Saturday, September 16, at 6 p.m. at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Admission will be $3 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.

Events during the rodeo include calf flag race, six and under and seven to 12; boys calf tying, 14 and under and 15 to 18; boys calf riding, 8 to 10; barrel racing, 13 and under and 14 to 18; barrel pickup, 18 and under; chute dogging, 18 and under; hide slide, 18 and under; mutton bustin, 7 and under, limited to 30; girls' goat tying, 13 and under and 14 to 18; and steer riding, 11 to 14 and 15 to 18.

All around $100 gift certificates to Lees Western World will be given to high point winners in both girls' and boys' divisions.

Registration will be at the fairgrounds September 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A parent must enter, pay and sign release at registration.

Entry fees are $10 except the flag race, which is $2. Prizes will be awarded in each event. Events are limited to 15, except the flag race.

FFA Alumni sponsors the Li'l Britches Rodeo. All contestants must be at the arena by 5:45 p.m.
