The Gospel Soul Searchers from Springhill, La., and the Pastor's Aid Club will render their annual musical program Sunday, June 6, at Shorter Chapel AME Church in Blevins beginning at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Commodities will be issued on June 24 at the Senior Citizens Center in Prescott. Your card must be re-evaluated before commodities can be received.

The annual children's day and homecoming will be held Sunday, May 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Midway United Methodist Church. The children's program will be held in the morning, potluck at lunch with singing in the afternoon. Bro. Jerry Westmoreland and the congregation invite all friends and singers to attend.

The time is near to be thinking about entering the Nevada County Fair Queen pageant. The ages are two through 21. The date has been moved up this year to September 2 and 4. Entry forms, along with rules and information, will be available June 1.

D.J. Shon 'Grape' Gulley will be performing in the old Willisville School building Saturday, May 22, at 9 p.m. Admission is $2. There is an arcade, pool room and an inside diner.
