Homecoming was held at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church Sunday and revival meeting started Monday night. Rev. I. McDaniel from Fordyce was the evangelist for the week.

Homecoming will be held at Mt. Vernon AME Sunday. Missionary Tessie Scott will speak Sunday morning. He is fom Dallas, Texas, formerly of Rosston.

A reunion of the Johnson, Leake and Quarles families was held this past weekend at Rosston.

Oak Grove Baptist Church does not have a pastor. Rev. Bobby Young has moved. He is really missed around Oak Grove. Let's pray that the Lord will send them a good shepherd.

Lenord Paden visited me Monday morning of last week. He is the son of Jewel and Pirlie Paden. He always stops by to visit us. Mrs. Vera Purifoy stops by and checks on me often. She is a sweet person. Mrs. Edna Kelly called and talked to me also.

Hope you all had a nice Labor Day.
