Former Resident Dies In Labor Day AccidentPublished Wednesday, September 6, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneA Labor Day traffic accident claimed the life of a former Nevada County resident. According to reports, Carlos Haynie, 21, was killed when the vehicle he was driving east on Interstate 30 went off the road, hit a tree, overturned and caught fire. The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. Monday. Haynie's mother, Lillie B. Cunningham, and three sisters live in Prescott. Haynie lived in Arkadelphia.
