Beirne Man Dies After FallBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, September 6, 2000 in the Gurdon Times A 79-year-old Beirne man fell to his death Wednesday, Aug. 30. According to Clark County Sheriff Troy Tucker, William Hunter was cutting limbs off a tree when a limb swung back and hit the ladder he was on. The impact knocked Hunter off the ladder and to the ground about 20-feet below.
