Rosston NewsBY MARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, August 30, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune The Sam Hussers of Laurel, Miss., arrived in Rosston on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Sue was ill and we really did miss her in the services Sunday. Pray that she will soon be better. She has a virus, along with other problems, and will go back to the doctor tomorrow. We had a good crowd for church and a good lunch afterward. Among our visitors on Sunday night were Bro. Petie's parents and Sandra Rodgers and Brenda Hamilton. They all had supper with our church after services. Jeff and Tara rendered several messages in song during the night service. Valerie O'Keefe will go back to Texarkana in the morning to get the second cataract surgery. Remember to pray for her. Among those attending the hamburger benefit for Danielle Carwile at Nevada School on Friday night from our church were Sue Dixon, Dot Broussard, Ruth Vinson, Bro. Petie Ward and family, Jeff and Christi O'Keefe, Cynthia Reaves, Bob Gresham, Roscoe and I and possible others. Singer were Bill David Barham, Christy Waters, Jeff and Trara Carlton and one of the teacher's relatives from near Gurdon. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Remember Danielle in your prayers as she desperately needs them and also her family as they go through this crucial time. She came home the night of the supper after getting her first chemo treatment. About $1,500 was made from the supper. Our revival will continue through Friday night with a different group rendering specials in song. Everyone is invited. If you can't come remember to pray for us. Mrs. Bob Gresham has had a brother in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. I think his name is Todd Thompson. He was transferred to Little Rock yesterday afternoon. Will give more details later.
