Caney NewsBY RUBY WICKERPublished Wednesday, August 30, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Heather and Cannon Callicott visited her parents, Buddy and Beverly Loe, Saturday evening. Buddy, who works in another state, was home for the weekend. Morris Baptist Church had services at Hillcrest Nursing Home Sunday. Bro. Tal said he certainly appreciate all who participated. Wallace McBride had bypass surgery and other repairs to his heart last week. He is doing well and expects to come home this week. Wife Retta has been up in Little Rock with him. I was glad to hear my granddaughter Emily Sweat was not seriously injured in her auto mishap at school. Another student ran a yield sign. Emily had just traded cars and her new car was demolished. Ronnie and Gail Tucker are spending a few days with their son Matt and his family in Austin, Texas.
