There will be a committee meeting Sunday, September 9, in preparation for a reunion of the PHS class of 1990. The meeting will be held at Prescott Country Club. All class members are urged to attend.

A McNeely family reunion will be held October 1 in the community center in Hope (same place as last year). Everyone is invited. Potluck will be served at 1:00 p.m.

The Laneburg School reunion will be held October 7 at 3 p.m. in the Fair Park Coliseum in Hope.

The McRae Middle School PTP is offering various items for sale this year to fund projects that will benefit the school.

These items include t-shirts, personalized duffle bags and backpacks and Curley Wolf license plates and cd cases.

Martin and Jackson reunion will be held Saturday, September 9, at White Oak State Park pavilion.

This is a once a year event. Attendance has been good each year. Everyone should take potluck and enjoy the day.

Nevada County Health Alliance will sponsor the community coffee Thursday, September 7, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's community room.

Go out and help them celebrate wellness and kick-off a successful Health Fair to be held Saturday, September 9, in the First Baptist Church gym from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Nevada County ARC Inc. will have a board of directors meeting Thursday, August 31, at 6 p.m. at Nevada County Day Service Center.

Meetings are open to the public in compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. If you have an item to be placed on the agenda call the center at 887-6675.

On September 6 Saturday Night Live' will be presented at 6:30 p.m. in the Artesian Arts League auditorium above city hall.

Local talent will be used for this performance. All proceeds will go to the Arts League.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for students. Make plans to attend to support your local arts league.

A Wicker reunion will be held in the community room at Prescott Housing Authority on Hale Avenue Sunday, September 10, at 10 a.m.

A potluck lunch will be served at noon.

Patricia Gulley Ingram of Prescott is proud to announce the birth of her daughter, Tazmin Tahje' Gulley, born Friday, August 18, 2000.

She was born at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia and weighed six pounds and nine ounces. She was 18= inches long.

Stephanie and Barry Bradley of Hope are proud to announce the birth of their son, Alexander Lynn, born Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

He weighed six pounds and 14= ounces and was 20< inches long.

Grandparents are Carl and Nona Clayton of Hope and Frank and Lesa Bradley of Prescott. Big brothers are David Clayton and his wife LaRonda of Hope; Bryan Bradley of Shreveport, La.; and Braden Bradley of Emmet.

The Nevada County Fair Association is sponsoring an ol' fashioned gospel singing Sunday, September 17, at 2 p.m in the air conditioned Potlatch building.

The singing will consist of a large choir and specials. Everyone is encouraged to attend and to join the choir or to listen in the audience.

A ladies' mini-retreat will be held at Bodcaw Baptist Church on Highway 53 Saturday, September 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

A silent auction will be held and the proceeds will go to the state WMA project lifework broadcast ministries-Jimmy Giraffe camera.
