Don Wesson, 53, has been sentenced to five years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for violating the terms of his 1991 probation.

Wesson, of Arkadelphia, formerly of Prescott, had been placed on 10 years probation for rape in 1991, which involved his four-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

The original charges were corroborated by medical evidence and psychological examinations of the child, with Wesson entering a plea of nolo contendre and the charge being reduced to first degree sexual abuse.

He was given 10 years probation and fined $2,000 and court costs.

The petition for revocation was filed in July, 2000, for his allegedly committing the crime of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.

Wesson pled nolo contendre in this case as well and was sentenced to five years in the ADC, fined $2,000 and court costs.
