Harvest time revival to be held at Muldrew Chapel C.M.E. Church of Gurdon August 31 and September 2 at 7:30 nightly. Guest evangelist will be Madonna Haynes, pastor of the Tender Heart Outreach Ministries of Hope. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Rev. L.C. Jones, pastor.

Sunday, September 3, at 8:00 a.m. an early morning worship service will be held at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Everyone is welcome to attend. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

September 9 at 6:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon will have its annual choir day and musician's appreciation. Everyone is welcome. Sis. Stephanie Radford, president, and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Family and friends day will be Sunday, Sept. 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon. Everyone is welcome. Special guest will be Mt. Canaan Baptist Church of Gurdon. Rev. Johnny C. Harris, pastor and speaker. Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor.

Annual choir day will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, at 7:00 p.m. at Eastern Star Baptist Church of Smithton community. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Marshall Allen, pastor.

Annual homecoming to be held at St. Clair Missionary Baptist Church of Burtsell on Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. Special guest are to be Harrison Chapel Baptist Church of Delight, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Okolona, Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor and speaker, First Baptist of Okolona, Macedonia Baptist Church of Boughton, Shady Grove Baptist Church of Beirne, New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon, and St. Ruth of Gum Springs and Lewisville. All churches are invited.

Worship leader will be Sis. Earlene Jackson. Rev. L.B. Beard, pastor.

Providence A.M.E. Church of the Kansas community will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Sis. Flostine Quarles and family. Pastor's appreciation services, Sunday, October 1, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Special guest will be Bethel Independent, Rev. Daniel Flemons, pastor and speaker, and Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon, Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor. Rev. Flostine Quarles, pastor.

Fred Hayes Jr. of Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Fred and Ana Hayes, is in serious condition. We ask for your prayers for the family and also for him.

Mrs. Gracie Grigsby of California accompanied her sister Mrs. Mary Hunter of Gurdon home last week. Mrs. Hunter attended the Hunter family reunion and all visited her children, sister and other relatives and friends. She had a wonderful time. Laura Grigsby of Burtsell also visited the Hunters in Gurdon and her sister-in law Gracie Grigsby.

Sharon Moore, Brandy Moore Ada (Tate) Davis, Alphonso Wilkerson, a friend of Sharon's of Chicago, Ill., visited Ada's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Tate. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Georgel Hawthorne, Mr. and Mrs. Smallwood, Mrs. Marice Tate, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McCray, Margaret and James Keaton, Eva Piggee, Donna Keaton, Jerine Hatley and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nelson of Gurdon, Holly Grove, Little Rock and other various places, and other friends and relatives while they were here.
