Caney NewsRUBY WICKERPublished Wednesday, August 23, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Baseball season is over for the church leagues. Morris Baptist's team did really well. They only lost one game. We have some good players and they're looking forward to next season. Caney Community kept the doctors busy last week. Ann Loe had some more tests Friday in Little Rock. Wallace McBride visited his heart doctor in Little Rock Thursday. I understand he is scheduled for surgery Tuesday. Retta McBride visited her doctor in Texarkana Wednesday. Dorothy Apel continues to have therapy on her broken shoulder. The Glass families and friends met for supper at the Crossroads Thursday evening. Tracy, Marsha and Blayke Bennett, Pam, Kevin, Clancey and Hannah Cleveland had lunch with J.W. and Maxine Glass Sunday after church. Bro. Bob Driggers Missionary from Winnsboro, La., will be guest speaker at our Wednesday, August 23 evening service at Morris Baptist. Service begins at 7 p.m. Our fourth Thursday singing will be August 24 at 7 p.m. at Morris Baptist Church. School started this week. TNT starts next week August 31 at Morris Baptist Church, so get ready kids. Little Brady Rhodes made his debut at church Sunday with proud parents, Brandon and Shelby.
