Fair Hill NewsBY BARBARA CORNELIUSPublished Wednesday, August 23, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune School has begun, so please watch out for the children. Mildred Hill has an extended visitor staying with her: her sister Dessie Andrews from Oregon. Charles and Judy Matthews were visiting her parents, Lewis and Irene Cornelius, this past weekend. During their visit her sister, Donna Carter, had a cookout for her. Those attending were her sister, Marcia Jo Ridling, her brother, Tom Cornelius, Neil, Sonja and Morgan Ridling, John Cornelius, Brandon Tullis, Bill Martin, Martha Steed and Charles. Happy birthday, Judy. I guess August was a popular month for birthdays. We had all kinds of parties around. Thursday Tom Cornelius was presented his 30-year service award. He was honored with a luncheon at the Fish Nest with eight others to congratulate him. Cathy, Carol and Dakota Ridling, Pauline Blevins and David and Kay Hendrix attended a birthday party Saturday for Jessie Henderson. David, Donald, Elizabeth, Jessica, Blake and Timothy, along with parents went to DeGray Lake for a Birthday party Saturday for Kenzie Walker. Meme and Pop Pop Cornelius had a birthday boy at their house Sunday evening. Happy birthday, Austin. A party with cake and hot dogs was given for him. The house was full of folks. These included Papaw Adams, Jake,Tera and Adam Cornelius (step-dad, mom and brother) Dakota Ridling, Thomas Hubbard, Jesna and Reggie Lamb, Bill and Judith Hubbard, Courtney Turner, Cathy and Carol Ridling, Jan Adcock and Aly and Missa Jones. Elizabeth Hopkins attended mini cheerleader camp last week at Prescott School. Patricia Kirkham would like to thank all her neighbors for helping in the search for her puppy Cuddles. Cuddles is home safe. Kim Overton, Al Formby, Jeremy Heath and Tonya Kissmee went to Magic Springs Saturday. They said it was just too hot. Have a safe and wonderful week.
