Barn Sale Is Set In Camden

The 32nd annual B&PW barn sale will be held Saturday, September 30, in Camden from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will featured more than 150 arts and crafts exhibitors from Arkansas and other states, a variety of musical performers, an antique car show, food vendors and activities for children.

Begun as an annual flea market in 1968, the sale has evolved into a major arts and crafts festival that draws an annual attendance exceeding 10,000. Proceeds are used by the Camden Business and Professional Women organization to fund scholarships and community projects.

Admission to the sale is free. On-site parking is $2 per vehicle.

The sale is held on Oakland Farm around the Tate barn, a mid-19th century cypress structure that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The farm is located on Monticello Street areas of U.S. 79B, south of downtown Camden. Signs directing visitors to the site will be posted on the city's major thoroughfares.
