The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System will be providing prostate cancer screening exams to veterans during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Week in September. This is an opportunity for men to ensure a healthier life by taking advantage of this vital screening examination opportunity.

To be eligible for this exam, veterans: must be between the ages of 40 and 75, have not had digital rectal exams and prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood checks within the last year, and be enrolled in the VA healthcare system.

Exams will be provided on Wednesday, September 20, and Thursday, September 21, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.

If you are a veteran who does not receive VA healthcare, but you want a prostate exam, please call the VA toll free at 1-800-224-8387. You must be enrolled before an exam can be scheduled.
