We had a wonderful time at the homecoming at New Salem Sunday. Elder Bernis Blake really did preach good. He told us what we needed to know. We had a very good time talking to many old friends; my cousins from Atlanta, Ga., and wife; Milton Young; Margaret Young; and my Uncle Metsie Young (my mother's brother) and his son. He never missed sending his upkeep dues. I hope we will have enough to last until the next homecoming. Do not just put your people over there and never come back and never send for the upkeep. We have a very good grounds keeper from Prescott. He takes care of the cemetery and church yard. There is nobody over there to look after things. I am getting things done because that is my home church. I am going to do as long as I am able.

We had preaching in the morning and singing in the afternoon. We had a good time with the Young Circuit. Sister Gloria Young had her keyboard. She really does a good job. Anything you ask her to do she does it. I don't know how we would make it if it wasn't for the Young family.

Elmer Lee Young worked hard by helping cut around bushes while his son Elmer Jr. put up the fans. Anything I asked them to do they never said no. They are where the Young Circuit came from. There were three sets of Youngs once. They are all dead now with no children to take over.

The following people paid to help keep the cemetery up: Donald R. Bazzelle, $50; W.L. Bazzelle, $25; Christopher family, $25; Lunice Cole and her son paid $30 (Lunice Cole is in the nursing home in Prescott; her son sees to it that they get paid); Jessie Wood, my Aunt Allie Young's daughter; Vera Purifoy and the Madison family (Vera's husband, R.D., is buried over there); Leon (Tucker) Simpson and wife Lovenia from California (they couldn't come but they sent); Latin family; Peggy Price from the Young and Clark families; Louise Henry; L.V. Gulley; Patricia Gulley sent $20 to help out and he doesn't have anybody buried over there; Benora Young Box; Roland Marsh family; Jessie Lee Young; James C. Young; Adell Rucks; Milton Young; Carrie Young Jamerson, $25; Derris and Opal Ingram, $20; Gladys Hubbard Hughey, $25; Percy Young, $25; Ardell Johnson, $15; Joy Young Heard, $10; Rev. B. Blake of Hot Springs, $15; the son of Allen and Winnie Mae Blake, Clifton Dansby, $5; Orlando Tidwell and Frank Ingram, $10; E.D. Sanders, $10; and the Bobby Allen family, $50 (his mother was a Young).

I would like to thank everyone for helping keep the cemetery and the church grounds looking nice. I am sure those of you who have people should be satisfied, because this was your money spent.

I am the secretary and have been for years. Our president is still W.L. Bazzelle, who lives in Delaware. He helps made it what it is. We don't have anybody to take on the responsibility. The president plays a big part in getting things done. He is 100 years old, but his mind is still sharp. Pray for him, because he is the one who keeps thing going.
