Caney NewsRUBY WICKERPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune George and Sandy Pace and children of Kalamazoo, Mich., spent a couple days with her dad, Delbert Steed, last week. They left Friday to go back to Kalamazoo. Coy and Grace Callicott were able to be in church Sunday after being absent last Sunday. They both visited their doctor last week. We were sorry to hear of the death of Madeline Marlar. Roger and Liz Nunn and Payton, Steve and Deb Jackson and Cody, Karen and Sarah Jobe visited J.W. and Maxine Glass Sunday. Bro. and Mrs. Bryant visited Morris Baptist Church Sunday evening and Bro. Tal invited him to bring the evening message. Was good to see them again. Bro. Junior and Ann Loe visited their respective doctors in Little Rock Wednesday. They went from there to visit with their daughter, Safrona Stokes, in Mountain Home. They returned home Monday. C&C Extension Homemakers meet Thursday, August 17. It is time for our annual picnic. Carolyn Hicks flew from Little Rock to Albuquerque, N.M., last week to visit her sister, Celia Karmel. Dennis Hicks of the Dallas area visited relatives here last week. Margie Reed, Dorothy Apel, Lucy Glass and I attended SAMS meeting Thursday. We met at the Broadway Hotel for lunch.
