Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune The weather is still making news. We got 1/10 of an inch of rain Friday and it is still hot. Edgar and Wanda White visited Chloe Orren, Lenord and Faye House, Donnie Rinkle and Lucy Taylor one day last week. We extend our sympathy to the loved ones of Johnny Lee McDonald. He passed away last week. He was 90 years old. Tommy and Chrystal Kirkendall, Summer and Robie of DeWitt spent Sunday with her mother, Angie, and Gary Beck. Jeff and Cherie Ridgell, Josh and Loretta Robin and Elizabeth Ridgell, Andrew and Alex attended a family reunion in Bastrop, La., Sunday. Paul Ridgell, Ben and Mike Ridgell and Boy Scouts Buck Slogan and R.J. Warren spent the weekend camping at Albert Pike. Paul's wife, Robin, carried some food and spent some time with them. Our son Willie Hugh spent Tuesday of last week with us. The men folks fished a little, but didn't catch any fish. Willie and I enjoyed our nephews, Doyle, Everett and Tommy Hooks, visit with us Sunday afternoon. We extend our sympathy to the family of Ollie Jane Parker. She passed away last week. She has been in Hillcrest Rehab for sometime. We extend our sympathy to the loved ones of Madeline Marlar. She died Sunday in a Little Rock hospital after a lengthy illness.
