It's still a hot and dry time in this part of the country.

Dixie Clary visited Neil and me on Saturday.

After Shady Grove Baptist vacation Bible school closing Katy Wilson spent the night with Brittney Pedigo.

Shane and Amanda Meador from Glenwood spent Sunday with his parents, Sid and Sandy Meador, and attended church at Shady Grove. They also moved their church membership back home.

Kim Hulan from Gurdon spent the weekend with her grandparents, Willie and Julene Hulan. Kim is the daughter of Thomas and Linda Hulan.

Monday Katy Wilson and Brittney Pedigo went shopping and ate at Little B's.

We would like to congratulate all those who have new homes in our community. John, Debbie and Jessie Henderson have a beautiful three-bedroom manufactured home. Bobby and Agnes Morrow have built on the late Jack Cagle place and Bill Jr., and Donna Ridling have finished and moved into their new home.

LaNell Nash has returned from a two-week visit with her two daughters in Murfreesboro. She also attended Ollie Parker's funeral on Friday.

Wilma Compton and Linda Ghormley spent Sunday with their daughter and sister, Kay and Junior Hendricks.

Katy Wilson spent Tuesday night with Kayla Key.

I won't begin to name names, but between 25 and 30 of Shady Grove Church group returned from Six Flags on Friday.

Darren, Kristi and Emily Neal have returned from a vacation trip to points of interest in Texas.
