Bessie Mae SneedBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Bessie Mae Sneed, 87, of Texarkana, Ark., formerly of Prescott, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at Arkansas Rehab and Nursing Home in Texarkana. Mrs. Sneed was born January 21, 1913, in Magnolia to Madison F. and Worta Sneed Reeves. She was a housewife and mother and member of Faith Baptist Church of Texarkana. Mrs. Sneed was preceded in death by her husband, Lillard M. Sneed, who died in November 1974; by two sons, Jesse and Leonard Roy Sneed; by one daughter, Ellen Marie Brantley, and by one great grandson, Nathan Buswell. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Marion Sneed and Patricia of Bonham, Texas; three daughters, Nora Crouse of Texarkana, Ark., Ivey Mae Fields of Hope and Virginia Colbert of Bonham, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Sneed of Texarkana, Ark.; one sister, Lurlene Stratton of El Dorado; one sister-in-law, Mary Faye Reeves of Magnolia; and 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 10, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.
