Prescott Police Make Drug BustBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune A 38-year-old Prescott woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to reports from the Prescott Police Department, Sgt. Wayne Sorrells and officer Ann Jordan had told Janice Brown not to return to a residence in Prescott, but she refused to talk to the officers. Jordan noticed Brown turn and throw a small plastic bag over her shoulder and stopped the subject. Sorrells retrieved the items thrown away, which included a small silver pipe burned at both ends, a single edged razor blade and a baggy containing an off-white rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine.
