Reynolds Wins Street Division

Sheridan's Zach Reynolds took the top spot in the street division at the Prescott Raceway Saturday, Aug. 11.

Reynolds had a reaction time of 0.480. His estimated time (ET) during the race was 11.96, and he reached a top speed of 71 miles per hour.

Next up was Emmet's Jerry Jones, whose vehicle broke on the line, but still managed to finish second.

Third in the race was Charlie Vines of Hampton. His reaction time was 0.420, while the ET was 13.34 and he reached 76 mph.

The fourth place finisher was Benton's James White. He had a reaction time of 0.442, with an ET of 11.64. His top speed was 87 mph.

In the no-electronics class, Velvet Lewis of Magnolia blew the competition away. Her reaction time was 0.535, while the ET was 7.15. Lewis' top speed was 96 mph.

Second in the race was Alan Holloway of Greenbriar with a reaction time of 0.539 and ET of 5.93. His top speed was 116.

Brent Watts of Waldo blazed down the track at 114 mph, with an ET of 5.88 and reaction time of 0.546.

The fourth place finisher was Adam Reiter of Hot Springs. His reaction time was 0.628, while his ET was 8.22. His top speed was 85 mph.

Going to the super pro division, Jeff Brotherton of Mena took the top spot with a top speed of 134 mph. His reaction time was 0.524, while his ET was 5.23 seconds.

Greg Brotherton, also of Mena, finished second with a 136 mph run. His reaction time was 0.510, while his ET was 4.99.

Bryan Coffman, of Conway, was third in the race. His reaction time was 0.524, while his ET was 5.92. Coffman's top speed was 115 mph.

Kevin "Bubba" King captured the junior dragster category with a top speed of 62 mph. His reaction time was 0.665, while his ET was 10.21.

Chris Jones, of Nashville, was second with a speed of 60 mph. His reaction time was 0.730 and ET was 10.43.

The gates open at 4:30 p.m. every Saturday, with time trials beginning at 6 p.m. Racing begins between 8-8:30 p.m.
