Soybean Field Day Set At Area FarmPublished Wednesday, August 16, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesThe University of Arkansas and the Cooperative Extension Service are offering a soybean field day at the Tracey McLelland farm Thursday, August 24, beginning at 6:00 p.m.. Those touring will meet at the shop in Gum Springs. There are two variety demonstration plots located on the farm. There are group four, group five and group six soybeans in six row plots and some group five varieties in 16-row plots. The group will also be looking at a sorghum plot on the farm. Dr. Lanny Ashlock, extension agronomist - soybeans, will be on hand along with other specialists to help answer questions you may have.
