Revival services are in session this week at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Okolona - Antoine communities nightly at 7:30. Everyone and all churches are invited. Evangelist for the week is Rev. Authur Hill, pastor of the Munn's Chapel Baptist Church of Prescott. Rev. Rufus B. Hatley, pastor.

The Gospel Four will render a musical concert Saturday night, Aug. 19, at 7:00 at Bethel Independent Church of Gurdon. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Daniel Flemons, pastor.

The New Mt. Zion Baptist Church choir of Gurdon will be among the special guests Sunday, Aug. 27, at 3:00 p.m. at Tenderheart Ministry in Hope. Everyone is welcome. Rev. MaDouna Haynes, pastor.

September 9 at 7:00 p.m. New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon will have its annual choir day and musician's appreciation. Everyone is welcome. Sis. Stephanie Radford, president, and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Robert and Jacqueline Brown of Portland, Ore., visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Harrington, other relatives and friends in Gurdon.

J.D. Brown of California and Robert Brown of Portland, Ore., visited their sisters, Hattie Lock, Lillian Brown and Minnie Mae Brown, other relative and friends in Smithton, Gurdon and other surrounding areas.

Charles Sorrells, formerly of Okolona, currently living in Flint, Mich., passed away Thursday. Services information is incomplete at this report.

Ella Burton of Chicago, Ill., has returned home after visiting her son Little Winfred Burton and grandchildren, her brother Winfred, and Margret Burton, her sister Jerine Hatley and other relatives and friends.

Rufus and Dianne Hatley, Rufus Hatley Jr., Zameka Hatley, Lonzo Leeper and Mya and Sharon Walton have returned home after spending their vacation in Michigan with their daughter April and her husband Johnathan McRae, nephew, sisters and other relatives and friends.

Jim and Adessia Hatley, Barbara Reaton, Jerine Hatley of Gurdon, Michael and Natia Hatley and daughters of Arkadelphia, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin McPeak of Holly Grove, their daughter and grandchildren of Dallas, Texas, and Tresia Keaton of Little Rock attended the graduation services at SAU in Magnolia Friday night of their daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, Bonita Keaton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Malvern for Rachel Robinson, sister of the Wood sisters. Rev. Frank Newburn, pastor, will be officiated.

Revival will be held Aug. 21, 22 and 23 at Muldrew Chapel of Gurdon. Revival services begin nightly at 7:00. The revival will be kicked off with a homecoming service to Sunday afternoon, Aug. 20, at 3:00. Various speakers are to bring the messages. Rev. L.C. Jones, pastor.
