Two Attending Convention

Bernard Hatley of Gurdon and Cindy Humphries of Arkadelphia will be attending the 32nd annual convention of the Arkansas State Employees Association (ASEA) as delegates from ASEA's Clark County chapter.

Also attending as delegate will be Claretta Newborn of Arkadelphia and Della Mae Williams of Sheridan by virtue of their roles as District 7 directors on the ASEA board. Mary Duncan and Alice Poarch of Arkadelphia have been named alternates in case Humphries or Hatley is unable to attend.

Hatley, Newborn, Poarch and Williams are employees of the Department of Human Services; Duncan of the Department of Finance and Administration-Division of Revenue; and Humphries of the Department of Health.

The ASEA annual convention is being held in Little Rock Aug. 18 and 19.

Delegates meet to set the association's policy for the upcoming year.

ASEA is a non-profit organization working to improve state government and state employment. It has 77 local chapters in Arkansas.
