NPMC Makes PresentationPublished Wednesday, August 9, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesNational Park Medical Center in Hot Springs provided the Gurdon Senior Adult Center with a presentation on osteoarthritis July 13. Teresa West, the hospital's rehabilitation communication relations coordinator, spoke to the group. The presentation included a review of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis. The seniors were also given tips on how to cope with osteoarthritis, for those who have been diagnosed with the disease. Educational material on the topic was provided by the family resource center of the hospital. For more information on osteoarthritis call 1-800-321-9221. NPMC provides programs to the center on the second Thursday of each month. Anyone interested in these srceenings or health presentations may visit that day. The next program is scheduled Thursday, Aug. 10. The presentation will be provided by Area Agency on Aging.
