Gary Lee HawthorneBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, August 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Gary Lee Hawthorne, 32, of Prescott died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at his home. Mr. Hawthorne was born June 4, 1968, in Hempstead County to Leroy and Etta Bell Powell Hawthorne. He was a carpenter and a Baptist. He began the organization called Southwest Arkansas Disabilities, a support group for the disabled. Mr. Hawthorne was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Bell Powell Hawthorne. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hawthorne of Prescott; one daughter, Gari Elizabeth Hawthorne of Prescott; one step-son, Nathan Edwards of Newport; his father, Leroy Hawthorne of Columbus; two brothers, Roy Hawthorne of Hope and Terry Hawthorne of Columbus; and one sister, Laura Mulder of Hope. Graveside services were held Saturday, August 5, at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus with Harley Sisson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
