It is extremely hot and getting dry. Harold and Thelma White of Van Buren visited Chloe Orren, Lenord and Faye House, Lucy Taylor, Donnie Rinkle and Bobby Taylor, who is in St. Michael Hospital and spent Friday night with Fate House of Powderly, Texas.

Lenord and Faye House received word this week that their daughter, Lonnie Jo Moore, of Michigan had surgery on a ruptured appendix. Get well soon, Lonnie.

We were also sorry to hear Margie Wicker is in the hospital with gallbladder trouble.

Russ and Brook Garner, little Ashland and Tyler of El Dorado spent Sunday with his parents, Huey and Freddie Garner.

Our son, Willie Hugh, spent Tuesday with us. He and Willie fished a while on Terry Rouge Creek. It was too hot to fish and they weren't striking well either.

Ruby Steed and Shorty Green visited Chloe Orren during the week.

Congratulations, Niki and Mickey Byers. They are the proud parents of a baby girl born July 27 and has been named Annie Belle.

The dedication service for the new fellowship hall at Boughton was well attended Sunday and beautiful. They also had a baptizing in the Little Missouri River.

Live a good, honorable life, then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.
