In case you went out of town readers are wondering: We are still hot and dry and no promise of rain.

Wilma Compton attended a Compton family reunion in Shung-Loo, La., over the weekend.

Tommy Ghormley from Little Rock spent the weekend with his parents, Paul and Linda Ghormley.

Caleb Lowdermilk spent Saturday night with his grandparents, Ronnie and Barbara Lowdermilk.

Katy Wilson spent Friday night with Miccah Yates and on Saturday they spent the day at DeGray, having fun.

Peggy and Bud Roedel from Jonesboro spent Sunday with their son and his family, Darren, Kristi and Emily Neal. Emily returned home with them for a few days' visit.

Danny, Lisa, and Kyle Pennington and Garrett Crellin spent Saturday in Monroe, La., at the World Championship Fishing and Boat Handling Tournament. They enjoyed watching the weigh-in of the fish and the boat races, but the highlight of the day was meeting and getting autographs of the top professional bass fisherman in the world, such as Mark Davis, Davy Hite, Shan Grigsby, Roland Martin and many more.

Jessie Henderson, little daughter of John and Debbie Henderson, attended Dakota Ridling's birthday party at his mother's home.

Caley Pennington spent the weekend with her grandparents, George and Joy Cox, and went shopping in Texarkana Saturday.

Shannon, Dave and Tyler Henderson, Kay and Jessica Hendrix, and Darlene and Jerry Henderson spent last weekend in Little Rock.
