Log Truck Driver Escapes Serious InjuryPHOTO BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, August 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune LUCKY DRIVER The driver of this log truck escaped serious injury Monday afternoon, after losing control, sliding 475 feet and overturning twice. According to Sgt. Jeff Jester of the Arkansas State Police, Karen Jackson, 35, of Bossier City, La., was southbound on U.S. Highway 371 about a mile out of Rosston when the accident occurred. She was taken to Medical Park Hospital in Hope by the Nevada County Ambulance Service. Also working the accident were the Nevada County Rescue Unit and Rosston Fire Department.
