Sunday Accident Involves Two VehiclesPHOTO BY RICKY RAGSDALEPublished Wednesday, August 9, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune TWO INJURED Two people were injured in a Sunday afternoon accident at the intersection of highways 53 and 278. According to Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell, a 1990 Lincoln, driven by Charles Wesley of Illinois, was heading north on Highway 53 when it ran into a 1994 Honda Accord, driven by Russell Brown of Texas. A passenger in the Wesley vehicle, Kimberly Glenn, was six months pregnant and was rushed to Medical Park Hospital in Hope by the Nevada County Ambulance Service. Lashun Parris, in the Brown vehicle, complained of back and hip pain, but was taken to MPH by private vehicle. Wesley was arrested for having no driver's license.
