Freshman Orientation Set At Gurdon High School

Gurdon High School will have freshman orientation Monday and Tuesday night, Aug. 14 and 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Cabe Student Center.

Students with last names starting with A to L should attend Monday night. Students with names starting with M to Z should attend Tuesday night.

If you have a schedule conflict you can go either night. It is important that all ninth grade students should be accompanied by their parents or an adult.

Teacher in-service will be held Aug. 15, 16 and 17. Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 may pick up copies of their schedules on Thursday, Aug. 17, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The first day of class for students will be Monday, Aug. 21, at 8:05 a.m.

All classes will be on short schedule. School will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. for the first few days.

Lunch will be served Monday, Aug. 21. Breakfast will start Tuesday, Aug. 22. Lunch prices will increase to $1.15 for students and $1.50 for adults at GHS.
